Shoddy workmanship. Failure on the part of management to own up to their mistakes. lack of communication or interest in communicating.
Supported by other Ford dealer that was required to repair their $8,000 mistake.
utilize a local reputable mechanic but stay away from this place.

I was stuck and had no idea what was going on with my car. I called first thing and spoke to Tyler, he was very polite and super nice he squeezed my car in to look at it so I could get home. The whole team at this Ford dealership is very polite and goes above and beyond even the shop personnel . They helped me out immensely in a stressful situation. I am going home today thank you again for everything highly recommend if you are up this way or live here.

Set an appointment for an oil change. Came in a few minutes early to respect the appointment time and drop off and wait. Over an hour passes and no one has asked me any questions, or checked in with suggestions. No one else in the waiting area. I get a feeling my car hasn’t been touched. Sure enough, it’s still sitting on the street. I go to see why. I’m told, “Well he’s been on a break.” That’s what appointments are for, which is a concept they don’t quite get apparently. Book your appointment accordingly.

So I called them and asked if I could get an inspection and a quote on Monday 8 am and they didn’t respond for a week after me calling them 3 times to confirm. Really I wanted the inspection which they wouldn’t even book me for. Then when I called to ask why they wouldn’t look at my car the lady at the reception tried to get mad and condescended me saying “the repair team is busy etc” “we need a technician look over the report” since when do you need that for an inspection? Anyways. Not thrilled at all with snow valley and I will be taking my business elsewhere after receiving such cold treatment.

So far they have had my car for six weeks and never called me once to let me know how it was progressing. For the first week I never had a loaner car. After six weeks they towed it to Terrace to have fresh eyes look at it. Who knows how much longer it will take.

I brought my 2017 ford escape Snow Valley Ford after receiving a letter regarding a Customer Satisfaction Program to fix “coolant intrusion into the cylinder bores which can lead to coolant loss, excessive tailpipe smoke, or illuminated malfunction indicator lights (MIL) due to engine misfire and could potentially lead to engine damage.”
same kinda engine damage that messed up my escape
refused to do the work because of the high mileage and blamed it on the small block.
escape sat at the dealership for over 2 months with no communication or follow up. I called- manager had no regard for resolving problem till I threatened to write a review. It’s to bad I had to write this review, but I don’t want what happened to me happen to anyone else. We got to watch out for each other.

Great service and friendly staff. So happy i brought my car there today. Been having issues with it sincr ive gotten it from ford in PG, BC. And i havent gotten anywhere with it there to find out the problem, they told us there that it was either our tires or the roads that was causing a wobble in our car, turns out it wasnt and we have told them it wasnt. But ford here in kitimat was awesome and found the problem. Very happy with ford kitimat. Thumbs up you guys!
