If you need something done, just drive in and let the team at Sierra Automotive Repair Ltd. get you back rolling again. I worked on my own brakes and just replaced the pads, very next day first 20k out my calipers seized up. Just bite the bullet and get your brakes done professionally. Don't just do the pads, make sure you think about getting your old calipers replaced while you are at it.

So impressed with the service at Sierra Automotive. We are from out of town and our car broke down on the side of the highway just after getting off the ferry. Called around to various mechanics in the area who said they wouldn’t have time to even take a look at our car for 2 weeks. We managed to push our car into Sierra automotive and they took a look at it right then and there, identified the issue, found the part we needed, and told us they could do it the next morning before we had to catch the ferry back to Victoria at noon. They were professional, accommodating, fast and offered a very fair price. They really went above and beyond to get us back on the road and took into account our unfortunate circumstances. I would not hesitate to recommend them and can’t thank them enough for making time for us despite their busy schedules!!

Really great experience with these folks. They took a look at my vehicle right away and found a solution where others couldn't and were very careful not to spend too much of my money.

Good service. Had my oil changed with my own oil and filter and everything went smooth. Had them change over from my normal tires to my steel mounted winter tires.

Small update: Found that they did not check the tire pressures in the tires that were installed. Would have been nice if for the $50 to install to inflate the tires back to correct psi

I dropped into sierra without an appointment. I had driven from the ferry with a piece of plastic that had come loose under the car and it was dragging. They promptly attended to my car. They were very friendly and the service was great. I highly recommend sierra.

Absolutely amazing!!! They went above and beyond what they were required to do and saved me thousands. Had a tiny board in the transmission that needed replacing. Most places wouldn’t even touch it but their experienced mechanics said they would try.
Quite a big job but they did it quick and I was always updated on the progress.
They got a big case of beer as a tip (apparently that is a thing for mechanics 😅)
Thanks Iain

Not the best customer service experience but they get things done. Side note, I'm the type of person who read all reviews, see the pros and cons and compares prices before deciding to buy. Had a flat tire from a cracked rim over the weekend and car was near empty on gas. Wanted to fill up at Point Roberts after the rim was fixed, so the towing company suggested that I bring it here. I called the shop and was told to leave the car parked with the key in an envelope and a note in the mail and they would call me on Monday.
I called Monday morning, explained that I have new tires to put on the two back rims, and that one rim needed fixing, which I will take to a different shop myself because I didn't want to pay for the courier fee and they had the best Reviews. Asked some questions about the process and asked for a quote on the tire change. I don't think he liked being asked these questions as I was told to bring my car elsewhere if I'm asking for quotes because he has other jobs that will pay the shop much more than a tire change for the time my car will be at his shop. He also mentioned that I should have bought Japanese cars because they're more reliable, and than these (German) cars, as they are too sensitive. This may be true but the problem was an aftermarket, neither German nor Japanese, cracked rim. Also, it didn't help the situation to be told what car I should and should not have bought.
I wasn't going to pay for another tow, and he seemed reasonable, so not knowing what they were going to charge me, I dropped off one new tire for them to change, and picked up the cracked rim and dropped it off at a wheel repair shop. Picked up the fixed rim with the new tire on it, and brought it back to Sierra Automotive and was told to pay $60 for the one tire change. I'm not sure how the tire change pricing works. Is it cheaper when you change more tires or is it priced one amount per tire? I was expecting something like $40 for the one back tire as my local mechanic charged me $80 to change the front two tires, when I supplied him with the tires. Would Sierra have charged me $120 for the labour if I wanted them to change both tires? I didn't want to bother with more questions so I paid and left.
All in all, they're straight forward, will do a good job, but keep it short and get to the point quickly!
