This transit system could easily be 5 stars but they do not put the training into there drivers or staff that is needed to run things smoothly and on time. Buses are frequently down, buses are rarely on time to there stops, not that they have set times set for anything but the terminal stop anyways. They use the transit app but it is almost useless because unless there is a rider on the bus using it the times it gives are always off. The routes they have set are pretty reasonable and can get you most places you need to go, but the hours are very short only running untill 6 on weekdays 4 on Saturdays and no service on Sundays.
Owen sound could easily make the four routes they have run smoothly and later if they would just put the most miniscule amount more money and effort into running it. Update the buses so they are GPS tracked so the transit app runs properly and that would fix most of the timing issues for people because at least if they arnt on there regular schedual we will know without having to call the terminal. And pay the drivers better wages so more people will take the job and actualy care to apply and stay. Just a thought, if you run you transit better than maybe more people will use it! Making it worth the effort. Especaily when the taxi services here are even worse...

I read a lot of bad comments here and it made me so anxious before my travel. Suprisingly, the lady there was really nice.

Had to sit down at the terminal for 15 minutes inside the bus because they were that late and the bus driver left the bus with the door closed I have a mild case of claustrophobic so I had noone to tell to open up the door that is unacceptable

I don't expect much from this sad excuse for a transit system but I thought surely they at least know their route. Nope. I took the crosstown from the terminal and instead of turning left off of 9th st west it just kept going to the end of 9th st, turned right, and went to 10th st. When I asked the driver if he was supposed to be turning left and going to 8th st he said, "No, this is as far west as I go". Ok, but 8th st is south of 9th st. So not only was he going the wrong way, he clearly didn't even understand how the streets work or where he was going. I got off at 10th st and walked five blocks instead of the 100 feet I should have had to walk. Just when I thought I knew how useless these people are, they manage to surprise me.

Only reason for not being 5 stars is drivers don’t care about anyone other than their friends…
Was waiting for the Brooke this morning (March 29, 2023) and the driver was early and told me to hurry up because we had to leave yet, EARLY. And there was someone else trying to get on the bus (at the correct time) and she looked at them and drove off

I am thrilled that this terminal is open again with a bus stop for the Grey Transit Route/Driverseat. A recently created affordable way to Toronto, and other locations in Southern Ontario. Three cheers for Grey County! Amenities: Convenient washroom, vehicle drop off, shelter from rain while waiting for bus, occasional benches. Downside: smokers in line up for the affordable GTR bus. Second-hand tobacco smoke causes bronchitis in my experience. I moved with all my luggage to another spot with difficulty. I was at the terminal Sept 22, 2023.
