Competent sales: extremely rare!

Right before in-person appointment at OS Subaru I had a meeting at a dealership next door to take a look at a 2023 Crosstrek. The girl who had made the presentation was a mediocre pleaser anxious to sell me something, and was completely irrelevant showing me the car. She started with trunk capacity that didn’t even bother me while skipping showing a set of tools the car had in a spare tire compartment although I asked for it; she didn’t know how to open the hood and once I opened it, I found out that the engine was warm. Presenting a used car with warm engine? Seriously? Visual inspection of a cold engine and its cold start are crucial for a pre-owned vehicle.

Directly after that, I met Rob at Subaru dealership. He quickly picked up my request, balanced it with the interests of the business he was representing, and we made a deal. That was absolutely surprising and amazing as I had been expecting a flow of BS (pardon my French) dumped into my ears as I had had plenty of experience dealing with dumb mediocre sales guys. Rob is outstanding, I am grateful for meeting a person who really belongs to his position. He is truly exceptional.

Thank you! And I genuinely hope that your service department also does a great job. Because when the time comes for scheduled maintenance or, God forbid, unexpected repairs, I would like to meet competence as well.

Just went in there two days ago because my 2010 forester was making a lot of noise when I press the brakes. Had the best experience that I’ve ever received from any dealership or any mechanic. Kim and the whole team over there is fantastic. Instead of just giving me a quote, they’ve took me to the garage, took the time and explained to me what exactly is wrong with the car and the options that I have to fix it. I was so happy with the way they treat their customers. There’s no hidden surprises, they’re fully transparent. You can trust them 💯would definitely recommend to everyone 👍

Great place to buy and service your Subaru. Never try to sell you something you do not need nor want. They listen and match you to your stated needs in a vehicle and never pushy. From walking in to view and test drive the car, to sitting down and talking over the details of the sale, the experience was pleasant. I was working with Jordan and he was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was able to answer all my questions. Brought in my 2011 Subaru for comprehensive check before a long road trip. Dealer tried to tell me that I needed new front and rear rotors and pads and other things I didn't need, possibly because I'm a younger guy they thought I'd let them do the services.

I had my neighbour (a mechanic) double check my rotors and pads and he said front have plenty of meat on them, 80% on the pads still and rear pads still have 50-60% on them. OS Subaru almost scammed me out of hundreds of dollars.

As a law student, I can say that they were almost as bad as lawyers lol!
