My mom has been calling Owen Sound Gardens home for over two years now. The entire team has made my mom and I both feel like family. My mom has been able to maintain her independence while having the security of knowing there is always someone close by to help if needed, or just to get a hug and a chat. The building is bright and inviting, there is a gorgeous garden that has been developed by the residents, and a delightful front entrance that provides shelter from the elements. This is a great space to gather and sit, even Elvis has performed in this very space. A variety of activities and events are offered, as well as a van service to get around town. Her suite is bright and comfortable. Thank you to everyone at Owen Sound Gardens staff and residents, for making my mom feel at home.

Owen Sound Gardens is the nicest retirement home I've ever set foot in. Our Mother moved in spring 2024 and settled in very quickly. She couldn't be happier with her decision to move in and expressed that she wished she had done it sooner. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and relaxing, and the staff at Owen Sound Gardens are beyond accommodating and are compassionate and friendly. It feels just like home upon entry. I love how when you walk in, there are always tenants socializing in the bistro, and new activities are posted daily throughout the buildings' common areas. You can be as social as you like or not. One thing that makes me happy knowing is that my mother is never dining alone. I feel at ease knowing she is eating three square meals that are nutritional and gourmet. You can tell that the Chef at Owen Sound Gardens thoughtfully plans each meal and holiday dinners and takes resident feedback seriously. The building boasts a large bistro for entertainment, bakers kitchen dining room, an activity room, and an in-house hair salon. I could go on and on. If you've been thinking about if this retirement home is right for you or your loved one, I highly recommend booking a tour with Kelsey.

Owen Sound Gardens Retirement Residence is, in my opinion, the best retirement facility in all of Owen Sound and surrounding areas.
The things I would highlight are the food (we have two options every meal along with an optional menu. Fresh vegetables, good meats, desserts are part of menu planning), Everyone has a thermostat in their suite to regulate temperatures in their own accommodation. Activities include card-playing, games, puzzles, movies, entertainers brought in regularly and we can attend some Roxy or other venues where lectures or entertainment is available. We have a van that takes us to different venues for special occasions like the Roxy, Collingwood Ferry excursion and now are planning a trip to see the ‘colours’. The van also takes us to special appointments, shopping and banking. For exercising we do strength maintenance, chair yoga, drum exercise, sciatic stretching and, of course, the bicycle. This is a very friendly environment by both the staff and the residents. Everyone has friends during their first week here. I am very happy living here. I am grateful indeed! Melinda

My dad lived in OS Gardens before he needed to move into a long-term care home due to a health crisis. He enjoyed living there, particularly the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. It’s a beautiful facility with spacious apartments and bright common areas. There is also no shortage of events and activities. We are very impressed with Owen Sound Gardens. It has been fascinating watching it turn from a construction site into a friendly retirement residence for its new occupants. The building is bright and the staff are very welcoming and supportive. There is a nice variety of food and options are provided at every meal. Many social events and interesting activities are available for those wishing to partake. We can highly recommend Owen Sound Gardens.

In summer 2022 our family member moved into Gardens Retirement, and it was an excellent decision. She has a safe and wonderful bright place to live. The staff are friendly and caring, and the building was well designed with features and amenities that allow for seniors to enjoy quality living. The food and menu options exceed expectations.
