"This is the worst car rental service in all of Ontario. You are better off postponing your trip if you can’t get a vehicle from Enterprise or any other reputable car rental company. I 100% do not recommend any service from this company."

I would rate this location a 0 if I could. This is the second worse national/enterprise location I've been too, the first is the Listowel location which I've reviewed. I fly in from across the country and booked a rental at the owen sound national which turns out to be a Mazada dealership. I rent about 200 days a year with National/Enterprise and this is the first time in 20 years of car rental in North America where they don't except your credit card insurance and expect you to carry a copy of your personal car insurance with you. Their "line" is "we own our cars" and we don't accept credit card insurance as proof of insurance. So if you're going to make special rules maybe posted those clearly when someone is booking your vehicles at this location especially if they are not from Owen Sound. NATIONAL/ENTERPRISE you're customer service is horrific outside of airport locations. This dealership is 0/5 stars for me.

Thanks for your response. I've never had to call ahead to ensure there are no "special rules" to a rental location in North America. You're the first. And no, when you book on the website there is no notice of the insurance requirement. And yes, all of my contact information is updated on the rental profile. Yes I'm very lucky I wasn't left stranded in Owen Sound. And as you mentioned, I'm so glad I'm able to help future renters who are thinking of renting from your location.

To National Car rental I apologize you are right I had confused you with enterprise car rental which has no cars.
This was a little more upsetting
Rate for 4 day rental $550+tax quote on the phone which already high price then spring +$25 for snow tires when I show up in person.

They found me a car when no other car rental outlet had one available. It was clean and new, very affordable and the customer service was top notch. I had to change my return date more than once; they were unfailingly pleasant and accommodating. I definitely recommend this National location.
