*UPDATE* Since first trusting them with an Out-Of-Province inspection on a Porsche 911, they have subsequently inspected 10+ high-end, very expensive Porsche vehicles for my dealership. They treat the cars like their own and with immense respect. John's Thistle will continue to be my preferred Out-Of-Province Inspection facility for my inventory.

Caution, they are not Mercedes specialists despite their claim!

Not impressed at all! Seems odd when a hobby mechanic has to tell a professional mechanic how to diagnose and fix a car problem.

I had an ICBC claim that they milked and misdiagnosed. My vehicle was going to be a write-off if my dad, who is a hobby mechanic, did not advocate for me.
I had my Mercedes SUV that they "fixed", and the same day I got it back, the engine stalled and I needed to tow it back to the shop at my own expense. This mechanic shop couldn't figure out the issue and even though my dad gave them suggestions earlier as to why it stalled, they kept dismissing him. Rather, trying to throw expensive parts that didn’t have anything to do with my ICBC claim/problem.

It wasn't until my dad had to go into the shop to explain AND show them the sensor responsible for the engine not running. A simple and cheap part fixed the problem, which they couldn't figure out on their own.

After expressing disappointment with how they misdiagnosed my vehicle, causing added stress and prolonged time to fix. The shop did not apologize or take ownership of their mistake or appreciative of suggestions. Rather they had the audacity to blame my dad, saying he should have come to the shop sooner to show and explain the issue to them! And if he did, they wouldn’t have had to replace certain parts guessing what the issue was. Again, when brought up that he did tell them, but the shop dismissed his suggestion multiple times, they shrugged it off!

Aren't they the mechanics that should figure out a simple sensor issue related to the original problem, rather than expensive unnecessary parts!!?

An approximately $3000 fix, was going to cost triple that because of their insufficient knowledge of diagnosis and fixing vehicles. Maybe they should stick to rotating tires.

Brought my truck in for a blown brake line on a busy Monday, by the end of the day they gave me a quick run down of what was needed and a rough timeline. In the end I picked the truck up Wednesday morning to find the brakes and brake lines looking great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for very reliable work on their vehicles.
