Long time review reader, first time review leaver. Have been a customer of Coast tire for a number of years. As a female with limited knowledge of cars but lots of experience with customer service I was looking for a place to take my relatively new vehicle for things like oil changes, inspections and tire changes. My most recent visit turned out to be extremely disappointing. Following an oil change, I made it to the 102 (3 kms) only to have a dragging sound come from underneath the car. The skid plate was not properly attached and was dragging. I had to pull over multiple times to try and tie it up, then ultimately getting under my car and a little to easily removing the plate entirely so I could return for repair. The screws and clips were broken and one of the screws wasn’t even attached to the car. I was told we would need to wait until staff returned from lunch to fix their error and was not compensated in any way. If I didn’t have my partner with me to remove the plate (in the rain, using a curb to lift the car up) I don’t know what I would have done. Following the repair there were still two clips missing and damage to the pressure plate. I’m very disappointed in this careless work and sad to say I’ll be looking for a different shop to bring my vehicles in the future.

Highly recommend Coastal Tire & Auto- Had my Jetta towed there in august after a failed boost. Turns out I needed a new starter, they had the part handy and had it fixed same day basically!
Last week I noticed some noise from the drivers side and figured it was my wheels or who knows what. Coastal is super busy and booked me in for an appointment 1.5 weeks later but said to drop it off and they’ll fit it in when possible.
Well, timing was perfect yet again and I showed up just as they were taking a look and they let me know I needed a new wheel and made sure to remind me to re-torque them (re-torque your wheels folks!! learn from my mistake)
I waited around briefly and then had my keys and car back. Literally had to stop and write this review I’m so pleased 🙂
Everyone I interacted with at Coastal is an absolute gem. Amazing customer service, accommodating and speedy. Thank you all again for saving my butt in a timely manner and working some miracles! ☺️🙏

I went to get gas at Esso on my way to work and when I was finished my car wouldn’t start back up. I was very flustered and didn’t know what to do so I ran over to Coast tire and asked for help. Two guys came over and pushed my car away from the pump and jumped my car. They told me to bring it over to the shop and they will take a look at my battery. Turns out my battery was toast and I needed a new one. They got me in to get a new battery right away and even offered to arrange a way for me to get to work. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and they really saved my day. I picked up my car and noticed they even put air in my tires. Highly recommend this place for any of your car needs!

Good people to work with. My stirring pump was leaking and affected sensors related system. Despite having busy schedule during holidays, they managed to sneak me in and to fix the problems.

My truck takes an uncommon tire size, this was the only place in HRM that had them readily in stock. They cleanly mounted a set of Nokian’s that have performed wonderfully. The following year another shop balanced my tires incorrectly the day before I had to go out of town. Coast were able to squeeze me in same day and rebalance my tires perfectly.

Gave us a quote of 301.00 over the phone, when we picked up the car the price was 563.00 and on top of that the car was absolutely filthy. Find a different mechanic.

Great little local tire shop. They helped me out when I was in a jam and even Audi was not able to accommodate. I have been doing my tires there ever since. Also they are the exclusive dealer for Nokian which produces the best winter tires on Earth. Great guys to deal with.
