We went half of the summer of 2024 and the whole fall without air conditioning in our 2011 Dodge Caliber. That model of vehicle is notorious for having numerous problems that I wont be listing. Nonetheless, Neal and his team replaced our A/C system almost completely, and it runs perfectly new as it should. The price was a selling point of course, saving us around* 800 dollars in costs. But the thing that stuck out to me the most was that Neal aims to do the right thing. He wants to be a good person for his customers, and equally important for his own business. I hope others can visit this shop and experience the same thing. Thank you Neal and the rest of the team at Affordable Auto Repair.

Affordable Auto Repair in Miami is amazing, full stop. I brought my Mercedes SLK 55 AMG in for a second opinion after another garage told me I needed shocks and struts, quoting me over $3,000. I was ready to pay, but a friend suggested I call around first. After getting quotes from five places, Affordable Auto Repair was the last—and immediately, I could tell they were different.

I spoke with the owner (I wish I remembered his name!), and he was skeptical of the diagnosis. He mentioned that such a repair would be rare for my car and invited me to bring it in for a quick check. Even though they were fully booked, they still squeezed me in. Sure enough, he was right—I only needed new tires.

Not only did they save me thousands of dollars, but they also went the extra mile. Initially, they couldn’t schedule the repair until the following week, but they made it work so I wouldn’t have to drive on a spare over the weekend.

I just wanted to thank Neil and his staff for taking such good care of me.

My car started making some strange noises when idle and turning right and since I drive long distances on a weekly basis I wanted to ensure my car’s safety. I came to Neil for a an opinion on my car after going to various other mechanics. One of them dismissed my concerns and assured me my car was fine and the other suggested repairs that amounted over $3,000 without actually looking at my car, explaining, or justifying, simply because of the car’s “mileage”.

Neil was very professional and attentive and checked my car up and down until he was able to find the problem. He was honest and straight forward and replaced the faulty engine mount at a fraction (1/5 of the cost) of the aforementioned estimate.
My car is running as good as new. If I ever have any car troubles I will never feel afraid to go to the mechanic and get scammed. I will just take my car to Affordable Auto Repair, and so should you!!!

Neil and his staff are great! He took my old Chrysler in and fixed 2 bad u joints super quick! Amazing customer service, honesty, and patience. They answered any and all question I had. I could really feel a night and day difference after the repair.

I'm traveling the US in a classic Lincoln Mark III... Needed rear wheel bearings done correctly and Neil has the know how and equipment to do the job without the common butchering many mechanics feel is perfectly acceptable.
Bearings should be PRESSED OFF, (not cut) and new pressed back on. 👍
Also did significant diagnostics to determine the cause of rough idle. We made some progress on the problem and Neil gave me some tips to improve performance which I can do on my own.
**I got 12.35 volts to the coil/igniter now for a stronger spark/burn and better performance. The rest is in the carb and fuel pump which I will/can do myself. Great service and assistance !

Neil, my man Sorry for late, I was very busy on my business. Guys I have a Chevy Traverse 2020 LT and I had a problem with the transmission, The truck lost power and pulled hard when I accelerating again, I was driving in moments on L mode to drive manually shift, on drive mode the shifts pulled hard. I was in Autonation Doral, they didn’t do the job and hurt me with $2.500 bill, I fought and I got reimbursed. The truck was 4 days on the dealer!. I found affordable Auto on Google, read the reviews, check the website and visited the place. Neil, He’s old school, direct to the point, he took the truck, we got a ride, he was driving and doing the scan diagnostic at the same time, he found the problem on the ride, was easy for him. I got the briefing, scenarios, left the truck and after 2 hours I got the call, truck ready and my bill for less than 1k, What else? …Thank you Boss

When I read the reviews I thought Maybe this place was posting there own reviews but nope. I went in for a abs light and had all expectations of leaving it probably for a day or two at least bur Neil found the problem and fixed and had me in and out in 2 hours. I recommend this place and plan on using it from now on. The best mechanic shop I ever been to. For anyone out there reading this review if you don't come here in miami from the other shops I've used your probably going to get ripped off
