This 7-Eleven is hands down one of the best stores on the island! They’re always fully stocked with all the treats and essentials, and their coffee station is top-notch. The store is spotlessly clean, and the customer service is fantastic—friendly and helpful every time. It’s my go-to spot for quick stops, and they never disappoint!

None of the staff are trained in policies, and if they are, they only act on it based on discriminatory reason. I was just accused of being a thief by the an East Indian front counter worker and his reasoning was that “there are so many people in here,” then it was “you know wearing a bag like that and a coat like that.” It is currently pouring rain so I was wearing my raincoat and my waterproof backpack but I guess that me wearing waterproof gear while it’s raining means I’m a thief. This occurred at 12:47am and there were 0 other people in there until I went to pay. He insisted it was store policy I take my bag off, then when I argued he said it was on the window outside, I looked, it wasn’t. At the end he told me to google the store policy on backpacks and carry bags, hey buddy, the store policy says nothing on backpacks, but nice try. You discriminated me for being young and wearing black. As I said to him earlier, it’s probably in his best interest to learn his store policies before trying to enforce policies that the company doesn’t have.

Another example of an employee either being ignorant of policies or knowing them and not caring, the balding, long bearded employee was selling me smokes for about 2 weeks (I’m 25) and have been using an expired Alberta ID which rarely causes issues as I’m no less 25 years old regardless of it being expired or not. On the last day I purchased smokes from this location he refused to sell me smokes because I looked too young and was using an expired ID, even though this man had been selling me cigarettes for the last 2 weeks with no issue. There is 1 staff member who is nice and it’s a young native man. The rest are absolutely incompetent

This sev is nicely merchandised, clean, & the staff are all so friendly and helpful

HOWEVER
The slurpees at this location are soooo yuck. 80% of the slurpees are always soo watery and gross. It's really dissapointing. PLEASE tend to the slurpee machines, some of us need a nice ACTUALLY frothy slurpee. I've been here 100s of times and the Pepsi slurpee is always NASTY and it makes me so sad.

I come by early in the morning sometimes 3am 430am before work. a few weeks ago the nightshift worker was verbally discriminated by some horrible man who refused to pay and walked out with his things. I came in this morning at 3am for some extra food for my lunch. No worker at the counter for 15 minutes... The other customer in the store mentioned he was probably robbed, but who knows? I put my food back and left. They are clearly understaffed and the staff are clearly underpaid. For the safety of the employees they should have two people at night minimum. I dont recommend coming in early hours of the morning. Other than that when the workers are there they are all exceptionally polite and try there best they just need more and possibly higher wages.

A favorite 7-11 when commuting from mid-island to South Island. Always open, gas bar, hot food, right across from Transfer Beach where you can rest, eat, walk the doggies and enjoy the scenery in Ladysmith.

Guy name Sandeep Singh is friendly, he is proper gentleman. He knows how to upsell mannerly and direct customers to right point. He told me the easy way to checkout which is called Self Checkout with 7 eleven app. Its outstanding and convenient.

The washroom was very dirty and needs a complete remodel. Mold and/or dirt around sink, toilet, and on floor molding is in my opinion indicative of low sanitary standards throughout the store. I would expect better from Petro-Canada and 7Eleven.
